Shawn Cochrane, MD

Dr. Cochrane is a pediatrician at OU Grand Prairie Pediatrics where he serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in pediatrics. Prior to moving to Oklahoma in 2014, he was a practicing pediatrician in Colorado for 2 years. He completed his pediatric residency at Children's Hospital Colorado in Aurora, Colorado in 2012. He earned his medical degree at the University College of Medicine where he also earned a doctorate in Cell Biology. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Oklahoma.

Dr. Cochrane believes his role as a pediatrics is to partner with families to ensure their children flourish and reach their highest potential. He has a particular interest in medical education, special education for children and advocacy. He enjoys hiking, cycling, travelling and spending time with his wife and two children.

Stephanie Grim, MD, FAAP

Dr. Grim graduated from the OU College of Medicine in 2002 and completed her residency training at the Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma. She worked for a year as a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics and neonatal intensive care unit at OU prior to joining The Pediatric Group in July 2007. Dr. Grim has special interests in newborn care and preventive medicine. She enjoys hiking and snow skiing, and played basketball for Hillsdale College while earning her bachelor’s degree. She is an Oklahoma City native and resides in Oklahoma City with her husband Matthew, and two sons, Gabriel and Nathan, and daughter Elise.

Carla Hardzog-Britt, MD, FAAP

Dr. Hardzog-Britt graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Microbiology. She then completed medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Her pediatric residency was performed at the Children's Hospital of Oklahoma where she was chosen to serve as Chief Resident. Upon completion of her residency she joined Northwest Pediatrics in 1991. She and her husband have three wonderful children. Her hobbies include traveling, gardening, and being head cheerleader for her kids’ athletic endeavors.

Noor Jihan Abdul-Haqq, M.D., FAAP

Dr. Noor Jihan Abdul-Haqq is an Oklahoma native who attended the Oklahoma School of Science and Math. In 2004, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA with a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry. She then matriculated through the Morehouse School of Medicine where she was active with various medical organizations and was able to take advantage of opportunities to work in the Dominican Republic and Mexico. She completed her M.D. in 2008 and was awarded the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine award. In 2011 she received a Practitioner of Excellence Award from Sisters United Organization for her professional development and community service. Dr. Abdul-Haqq completed her Pediatric Residency with the Morehouse School of Medicine and began working in the Atlanta area in both private practice and urgent care. She recently relocated to Oklahoma with her husband Masood and their three children.

Steve Krause, MD, FAAP

Dr. Krause graduated from the University of Missouri and completed medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. His pediatric internship and residency was performed at Children's Hospital of Oklahoma where he was chosen to serve as Chief Resident. His medical highlights include Chief of Pediatrics at Mercy Health Center, Clinical Consultant Children's Crisis Center, Clinical Director at Project Bethlehem for the Homeless and Clinical Instructor at Children's Hospital of Oklahoma. Dr. Krause has been in general pediatric practice since 1981 and with Northwest Pediatrics since its inception. His current pastimes include reading, listening to music, cooking, fly fishing, camping, watching college basketball and running.

Tony Leveridge, MD, FAAP

Dr. Leveridge grew up in Oklahoma City. He attended the University of Oklahoma as a mathematics major. He completed medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, and completed his pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma. Prior to joining Northwest Pediatrics in 1993, Dr. Leveridge practiced for 10 years at the Oklahoma City Clinic, where he served as chair of the Pediatrics department. He has served as Chief of Pediatrics at Mercy Health Center. Currently he is a clinical instructor for Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma and is a member of the admissions board of the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Dr. Leveridge and his wife have four adult children and six amazing grandchildren.

Larissa Madore, MD, FAAP

Dr. Madore joined Northwest Pediatrics in the summer of 2009. She completed her pediatric residency at The Children's Hospital of Oklahoma in June 2009, and graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in May 2006. Prior to medical school, Dr. Madore spent 2 years doing some basic science research at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She received her undergraduate education at Boston University, where she earned a BA in History in May 2000. Dr. Madore has a special interest in medical education, and spends some of her time teaching pediatric residents. Her favorite activities are going to the park with her kids and watching college sports. She is from Oklahoma, and lives in Oklahoma City with her husband and three delightful children.

R. Kevin Moore, MD, FAAP

Dr. Moore is an Oklahoma native and graduated from the OU College of Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma. As a breastfeeding advocate, Dr. Moore is a frequent expert speaker for the La Leche League, and has served as the Medical Director for the Oklahoma State WIC program, as well as the Lactation Director for INTEGRIS Baptist Medical Center. He lives in Oklahoma City with his wife, Dana, and their four children. He enjoys spending time with his family and attending OU football games.

Megan Nguyen, MD

Dr. Nguyen graduated Suma Cum Laude from the University of Oklahoma with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. She then went on to complete medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where she stayed on for her pediatrics residency. Dr. Nguyen had the honor of serving as chief resident during her residency. She is fluent in conversational Vietnamese and medical Spanish. Her hobbies include reading, traveling, and tennis. She also loves spending time with her two energetic kids!

Denise Scott, MD, FAAP

Dr. Scott joined The Pediatric Group in 1995 in a part-time practice which she now shares with Dr. Kala Sigler. She attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, and completed fellowships at both Children's Hospital of Oklahoma and the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Scott practices both pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology. She lives in Edmond with her husband, a pediatric ophthalmologist, and their three children.

Laura Shamblin, MD

Dr. Shamblin is a native of Mustang, OK who graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University with a B.S. in Biology in 2001. She received her medical education at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, graduating in 2005. She did her residency training at Children's Hospital of Oklahoma, finishing in 2008. After residency, Dr. Shamblin worked full time from 2008-2012 for The Children's Center in Bethany, OK, a long term care hospital for children with special needs. During her time there, she began their first general pediatric practice for children with special needs, as well as their siblings and children from the community. She joined Kid's First in the fall of 2013, and is now blessed to be a full-time mother to her three children 3 years old and under. She is married to her husband, Clay, and in her rare spare time she enjoys traveling, reading, movies, medical missions, teaching a college Sunday School class, and taking seminary classes.

Kala Sigler, MD, FAAP

A Texas native, Dr. Sigler attended medical school at the University of Texas at San Antonio, and completed residency training at Washington University's St. Louis Children's Hospital. She has been in practice since 1995 and joined The Pediatric Group in 1997. Dr. Sigler lives in Edmond with her husband, Scott, who is an oculoplastic surgeon, and their three children. Dr. Sigler shares her practice with Dr. Denise Scott.

Mike Vincent, MD, FAAP

Dr. Vincent grew up in rural northwestern Oklahoma. He attended medical school at the OU Health Sciences Center. He did his pediatric specialty training at Children's Hospital of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City followed by one year as Chief Resident. He has been in practice with Northwest Pediatrics since its inception. Doctor Vincent counts it a privilege to partner with parents in the education of the health and well-being of children. In his spare time he keeps busy with movies, travel, LifeChurch, and caring for his father with dementia.
